Perfume x Lovefool – Pepsi NEX commercial (updated)

Pepsi NEX‘s next commercial will be now promoted by three new artists and groups: THE CRO-MAGNONS, Pornograffitti and Perfume. Each of them covering three famous western hits, “Blitzkrieg Bop” by RAMONES, “Get it on” by T-REX and “Lovefool” by THE CARDIGANS, respectively. Previous artists promoting the drink were Kobukuro, L’Arc-en-Ciel and Koda Kumi.

Perfume’s “Lovefool” is a cover by our beloved Nakata Yasutaka and the choreography for the 15″ commercial is also from the well known MIKIKO.

CM will be aired nationwide on June 12.

The video is VERYY cute, but they’re completely turning into capsule (Music-wise) I mean, i LOOOOOOVE how their trancy music sounds (because it makes me all happy and cheery :D) but they’re slowly turning into capsule @_@

I have to say I still like the original Cardigans version better.
But, I really like Perfumes twist on it. Seriously, Perfume covering The Cardigans, how sick is that.

@ Emily – I doubt it will be aired in the US. If it isn’t “sliced white bread” it won’t be promoted. Our loss unfortunately, though my jaw will drop if I’m proven wrong.

I think it’s a great move for Perfume, and a good song to cover. Not to mention Nakata-san and Mikiko-chan are on board, so all the more power to our girls!

This song exist already…..in france it exist from a very long time….it’s maybe just a part but they took the lyrics and song of another….but i don’t mind it’s just to say it’s not fully new
