Be sure to give Nocchi your warmest birthday wishes as she turns 23! She’ll be very pleased to receive all of your congratulations and good will, unless you plan on covering her legs with your coat.
From Perfume City and all of its members, happy birthday, Nocchi! May it be the best one yet!
Considering the wait the wait that went into this announcement, it certainly can’t help but feel a little surreal. Months of waiting for something, anything to come of Perfume’s recent “Glitter” promotion has reaped its reward; an overload of information that includes a dance contest, a single, an album, a tour; more and more and more and more, Perfume have offered up the gift that appears to keep on giving, as if to say, “Well, we apologize for the wait, here’s how to make up to you.”
Where to start? Well, chronologically speaking, let’s begin with “Glitter” itself.
Not only is there an extended preview of “Glitter,” but Perfume will be holding a contest to finish up the choreography on the video in a “Glitter” dance contest. Anyone is able to enter, though expenses will have to be paid out of pocket to get to Japan for us unfortunate foreign fans. The ten finalists will be chosen at an October 29th concert to perform on stage with the girls themselevs. Hey, not too bad.
You can get more information on Perfume’s site, as well as the newly created miseyoJPN YouTube channel. Of course, Perfume City has it all covered here, which leads us to the next nugget of information which is…
Perfume will be releasing a new single on November 2, 2011! The single will feature “Glitter” as a b-side and a lead, tie-in single to be named later. Oh, it’s very exciting, indeed because that information will lead to the brand new Perfume album JPN, hitting stores and delivery services on November 30, 2011. You can discuss the album further here!
And even more still, all of that will go into an arena tour kicking off in January of 2012. To sum it up:
Dance contest! Single! Album! Tour!
Oh my.
It’s about to get exciting for Perfume fans, so let’s all get ready for what this autumn and winter will bring for the girls as they take their next step! More will certainly be broken down further here and on the forums as the information begins to digest itself and everything becomes a little less hectic, so please stay tuned!
Perfume will make a special appearance on the big screen, and not just in the Cars 2 variety, when they show up in the motion picture Moteki on September 23 in Japan. The girls show up with the film’s hero Yukiyo to celebrate his elated joy by taking part in a performance of “Baby Cruising Love.”

Their appearance isn’t out of thin air, as Perfume’s music, including “Baby Cruising Love,” had been featured on the Moteki drama, for which the film is based. Regardless of the connection, the comedy marks another positive footnote in Perfume’s spectacular 2011.
