Perfume will appear on NHK’s 59th Kouhaku Utagassen

Congratulations! They finally made it!

Perfume will act in on of the prestigious annual TV show Kouhaku, on the New Year’s Eve by NHK.

The program is divided into two color groups, as the title itself says; Red and White Song Battle.

From Wikipedia:

(…) the program divides the most popular music artists of the year into competing teams of red and white. The “red” team or akagumi (赤組, 紅組) is composed of all female artists (or groups with female vocals), while the “white” team or shirogumi (白組) is all male (or groups with male vocals). The honor of performing on Kōhaku is strictly by invitation, so only the most successful J-Pop artists and enka singers can perform. In addition to the actual music performances, the costumes, hair-styles, makeup, dancing, and lighting are also important. Even today, a performance on Kōhaku is said to be a big highlight in a singer’s career because of the show’s large reach.

PV for Dream Fighter Released

Sorry it’s a little late.

Perfume released the PV for their latest single on air just a day or two ago, and rips of the video are up on the internet.

Due to constant monitoring of youtube/other streaming video sites, I’ll only post links to direct downloads and torrents:

Can’t wait for the single to be released!

Road to Budoukan!

This is the first time I update the site writing about me, but this is a special post about something I never thought it was going to happen this soon. I always wanted to go to Japan, but since I knew about Perfume more than 2 years ago my dream was to see their live.

Tomorrow I’ll take a flight to Tokyo with a friend.
I’ll see Perfume at the Budoukan on Nov 6th among other things and I can’t be happier than I am now.

I’ll try to write a good report when I’m back!

- Therefore Perfume City won’t be updated from now to two weeks.
Please keep on visiting the site and the Forums. Thank you all for supporting this website!
